Emirates ID Renewal is now linked with Visa Renewal
The validity of ID card is now directly linked to the validity of your residence visa. When your visa expires your ID as well expires. So you should apply for renewal of your ID card prior to submit your visa renewal form.
Required Documents:
• Original ID Card and Original Passport
Once your application typed, no need to visit EIDA Center. You will be notified by SMS from Emirates Post once your card is issued. You should carry the original ID renewal application and passport copy with you when you go for collection. In case of previous fingerprint is not clear, the applicant will be notified by SMS to visit the any of EIDA Center.
Sponsorship/Profession/Passport Change:
In case of visa / profession / passport changes, then those information has to be updated in Emirates ID. Visit our office with original passport and original ID Card to amend the information.
NOTE: Once your Emirates ID form typed, you will receive an SMS stating that Confirmation of new residency information for 8001….was incomplete. Don’t be panic, wait until your visa being stamped, and then visit our office with original passport to scan new visa information. You will receive the ID once this process is done. You should hand over your original ID Card along with visa renewal and Cancellation application. If you lost your card, you should visit EIDA Center with original passport to get IDN Certificate and submit that to immigration.
